This meeting is open to the public and will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time or when business for the day is completed. This meeting is being conducted remotely with a web broadcast that provides the opportunity for remote public comment. In the event an outage occurs or technical issues arise that impact the experience of remote attendees, we will attempt to resolve them but ultimately we cannot guarantee that they will be resolved satisfactorily.
Purpose of the meeting
The primary purpose of the GAP meeting is to prepare for the Pacific Council’s November 2023 Pacific Council meeting. The GAP will discuss items related to the groundfish management items and other matters on the Pacific Council’s November agenda. Additionally, the GAP, GMT, and EWG will meet during the GAP webinar to discuss matters related to the Council’s fishery ecosystem plan initiative. No management actions will be decided by the GAP, GMT, or EWG. The GAP, GMT, and EWG recommendations will be considered by the Council at their November or March Council (ecosystem matters) meetings.
