Dr. Michael O’Farrell is the Chair of the Salmon Technical Team (STT) and Jon Carey is the Vice-Chair. The staff officer for the STT is Angela Forristall.
Plan development, technical, and management teams are working groups of state, Federal, tribal, and nongovernmental biologists and economists. Members serve indefinite terms and are selected by a vote of the Council.
The STT supports the Council by analyzing salmon fisheries, drafting reports, and providing scientific advice to inform fishery management decisions. They produce key annual salmon documents and attend Council meetings to present findings and collaborate with advisory subpanels. Meetings are scheduled throughout the year, including work sessions in January and February and meetings in tandem with Council meetings in March, April, June, September, and November.
