The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Pacific Council) Salmon Technical Team (STT) will hold a work session February 20-23, 2024, which is open to the public. The meeting will start on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 1 p.m. until business for the day is completed, and continues Wednesday, February 21 through Friday, February 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, or until business for the day is completed.  The meeting is tentatively scheduled to be held in person at the Pacific Council office located at 7700 NE Ambassador Place, Suite 101, Portland, OR 97220; however, the venue is subject to change and may be held online.

Purpose of the work session

The STT will hold a public work session to draft “Preseason Report I – Stock Abundance Analysis and Environmental Assessment Part 1 for 2024 Ocean Salmon Fishery Regulations”. The STT may also consider any other estimation or methodology issues pertinent to the 2024 ocean salmon fisheries, and discuss additional topics as time allows, including but not limited to future Council agenda items, workload planning, salmon rebuilding plans, etc.
