The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Pacific Council) Salmon Technical Team (STT) and Model Evaluation Workgroup (MEW) will hold a joint online meeting that is open to the public. The online meeting will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, until 4 p.m., or until business for the day has been completed.
Purpose of the meeting
In preparation for the June 2022 Pacific Council meeting, the STT will discuss the work required and timeline necessary to investigate the accuracy of and consider potential improvements to recent preseason effort projections produced by the Klamath Ocean Harvest Model during the preseason management process.
In preparation for the September 2022 Pacific Council meeting, the STT and MEW will discuss the work required and timeline necessary to investigate the potential for improvements to forecasts of ocean exploitation rates for Southern Oregon/ Northern California Coast coho salmon.
