Ad Hoc Marine Planning Committee to hold online meeting October 9, 2024

The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Pacific Council) Ad Hoc Marine Planning Committee (MPC) will hold an online public meeting. This meeting will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific Time or until business for the day has been completed. This meeting is being conducted remotely with a web broadcast that provides the opportunity for remote public comment. In the event an outage occurs or technical issues arise that impact the experience of remote attendees, we will attempt to resolve them but ultimately we cannot guarantee that they will be resolved satisfactorily. 

Groundfish Subcommittee of the Scientific and Statistical Committee to hold online meeting October 1-2, 2024

The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Pacific Council) Groundfish Subcommittee of the Scientific and Statistical Committee (SSC) will will convene an online meeting to review the suitability of fish age estimates developed using Fourier Transformed Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-NIRS) for inclusion in groundfish stock assessments. This meeting is open to the public and will be held Tuesday, October 1, and Wednesday, October 2, daily from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pacific Time or until business for the day has been completed. This meeting is being conducted remotely with a web broadcast that provides the opportunity for remote public comment. In the event an outage occurs or technical issues arise that impact the experience of remote attendees, we will attempt to resolve them but ultimately we cannot guarantee that they will be resolved satisfactorily.

Salmon Technical Team and Scientific and Statistical Committee’s Salmon Subcommittee to hold joint online meeting October 4, 2024

The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Pacific Council) Salmon Technical Team (STT) and Scientific and Statistical Committee’s Salmon Subcommittee (SSC-SC) will hold a joint online meeting and is open to the public. The Model Evaluation Workgroup and the Sacramento River Fall Chinook Workgroup may also contribute and participate in this meeting. The online meeting will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time, or until business for the day has been completed.

Sacramento River Fall Chinook Workgroup to meet October 2-3, 2024

Habitat Committee to hold online meeting September 5-6, 2024

The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Pacific Council) Habitat Committee (HC) will hold an online meeting that is open to the public. This HC meeting will be held Thursday, September 5, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, September 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, or until business is completed. This meeting is being conducted remotely with a web broadcast that provides the opportunity for remote public comment. In the event an outage occurs or technical issues arise that impact the experience of remote attendees, we will attempt to resolve them but ultimately we cannot guarantee that they will be resolved satisfactorily.

Purpose of the meeting

The purpose of this online meeting is for the HC to consider items on the Pacific Council’s September meeting agenda and to prepare supplemental reports as necessary. Topics will include Current Habitat Issues, the Columbia River Dredge Materials Management Program, development of a national fishing effects database, and other topics as necessary.
