Amendment 10: Coho south of Cape Falcon, Klamath River Fall Chinook escapement goal, nontreaty catch allocation north of Cape Falcon

The 10th amendment to the Pacific Coast Ocean Salmon Fishery Management Plan considered four issues during the development of final Amendment 10. However, the Council’s recommended alternatives require amendment of the FMP for only three of the four issues. The Council recommended status quo for Issue 2 (modification of the Klamath River fall chinook spawning escapement goal) as presented in the draft amendment document.

The issues addressed in Amendment 10:

  1. Inseason reallocation of coho south of Cape Falcon
  2. Modification of the Klamath River fall chinook spawning escapement goal
  3. Modification of criteria guiding the nontreaty catch allocation north of Cape Falcon
