Groundfish: Harvest Specifications, Regulations, and Seasons
The Pacific Fishery Management Council develops and recommends harvest specifications and management measures to the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Examples of a harvest specification include annual catch limits for a species or species complex. Examples of management measures include cumulative landing limits for commercial fisheries, rockfish conservation area (RCA) boundary adjustments, bag limits, and seasons.
