Reapportionment of Pacific Whiting & Minor Slope Rockfish Bycatch Notice

Regulations at 50 CFR 660.131(h) provide for the reapportionment of Pacific whiting allocations that the NOAA Regional Administrator determines will not be used by the end of the fishing year. NMFS is taking action at this time to reapportion 28,000 mt of Pacific whiting. Pacific Council to Consider Several Fishery and Ecosystem Based Management Issues

The Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) and its advisory bodies will meet November 2-7, 2012 in Costa Mesa, California to address issues related to management of groundfish, salmon, Pacific halibut, coastal pelagic species, highly migratory species, ecosystem based management, and habitat matters.
