NMFS proposes to approve changes to the Pacific Halibut Catch Sharing Plan and codified regulations for the IPHC regulatory Area 2A

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) proposes to approve changes to the Pacific Halibut Catch Sharing Plan and codified regulations for the International Pacific Halibut Commission’s (IPHC) regulatory Area 2A off Washington, Oregon, and California. In addition, NMFS proposes to implement the portions of the Plan and management measures that are not implemented through the IPHC.

NMFS is accepting comments on the proposed rule through March 1, 2018.  Please see the Federal Register notice dated January 30, 2018 to view the proposed rule and instructions on how to comment.
