Salmon Technical Team and Scientific and Statistical Committee’s Salmon Subcommittee to Hold Joint Meeting October 17 via Webinar

The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Council) Salmon Technical Team (STT) and Scientific and Statistical Committee’s Salmon Subcommittee (Subcommittee) will hold a joint meeting via webinar on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, which is open to the public.  The webinar will begin at 10 a.m. and will continue until business for the day is completed.

The purpose of the methodology review meeting is to discuss and review proposed changes to analytical methods used in salmon management.  Results and recommendations from this methodology review meeting will be presented at the November 14-20, 2017 Council meeting in Costa Mesa, California where the Council is scheduled to take final action on the proposals.  The following topic was adopted by the Council at their September 11-18, 2017 meeting in Boise, Idaho for consideration at the methodology review meeting:  Oregon Coastal Natural coho.

If time and interest allows, the STT and Subcommittee may also discuss additional topics, including but not limited to future Council agenda items.
