Scientific and Statistical Committee Groundfish Subcommittee to Hold Webinar September 28

The Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Council’s) Scientific and Statistical Committee’s Groundfish Subcommittee (Groundfish Subcommittee) will hold a webinar on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) or until business for the day has been completed.  The purpose of the SSC Groundfish Subcommittee meeting is to review a new yelloweye rockfish rebuilding analysis; review new overfishing limits (OFLs) for lingcod; review new data-limited OFL estimates for starry flounder, and cabezon off Washington; and review requested model runs for Pacific ocean perch in consideration of endorsing a new stock assessment.  Additionally, the SSC Groundfish Subcommittee will review a paper addressing conditions placed on the west coast bottom trawl groundfish fishery for shortraker rockfish, silvergray rockfish, and California skate by the Marine Stewardship Council.
