NMFS is seeking nominations to the Permanent Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is seeking nominations to the Permanent Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission. The Permanent Advisory Committee, composed of individuals from groups concerned with the fisheries covered by the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Convention (Convention), will be given the opportunity to provide input to the United States Commissioners to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) regarding the deliberations and decisions of the WCPFC. Each appointed member of the Permanent Advisory Committee will serve for a term of 2 years and is eligible for reappointment. This request for nominations is for the term to begin on August 3, 2017, and is for a term of 2 consecutive years.

Nominations must be received no later than February 24, 2017. For information on how to submit nominations and the nomination process, please see the Federal Register notice dated January 10, 2017.
