Supplemental CDFG Analysis of the Proposed Changes to the Cowcod Conservation Area Boundaries

California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG) submitted a supplemental analysis as a letter of comment to the 2007-2008 Pacific Coast groundfish specifications and management measures & Amendment 16-4 Overfished Species Rebuilding Plans final environmental impact statement (FEIS). The supplemental CDFG analysis pertains to liberalizing the Cowcod Conservation Area (CCA) boundaries.

This analysis is being made available on the Council and NMFS NWR websites in order to facilitate public comment on the proposed rule, which would implement the measures evaluated in the FEIS.

In addition, the proposed rule for the 2007-2008 Pacific Coast groundfish specifications and management measures is available on the NMFS Northwest Region website at http://www.nwr.noaa.gov/Publications/FR-Notices/2006/upload/71FR57764.pdf.
