Fishery Management Plan and Amendments: FMP: Amendment 1
First Amendment and Implementing Regulations to the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan
This amendment (July 30, 1984) was replaced by Amendment 4.
Amendment 1 analyzed seven issues relevant to the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan (FMP). Those issues were to:
- Provide flexibility in the regulatory regime for Pacific Ocean perch
- Impose marking requirements for fixed gear
- Require vessel identification
- Include additional species in the groundfish management unit
- Impose a trip limit on sablefish as the OY is approached
- Require pelagic trawl footrope
- Separate management of Northern Jack mackerel
Amendment 1 was replaced by Amendment 4.
