STAR Panel Meeting to Review Pacific Sardine Survey Results and Stock Status
Meeting Dates: September 21-25, 2009
The Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) and the National Marine Fisheries Service will hold a Coastal Pelagic Species (CPS) Stock Assessment Review (STAR) Panel meeting to review stock assessment methods and survey results for Pacific sardine.
The purpose of the CPS STAR Panel meeting is to review draft stock assessment documents, survey results and any other pertinent information for Pacific sardine, work with the Pacific sardine Stock Assessment Team to make necessary revisions, and produce STAR Panel reports. The STAR Panel reports will be for use by the Council family and other interested persons for developing management recommendations for the 2010 Pacific sardine fishery.
Meeting Dates and Times
The meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 21 through Thursday September 24, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Friday September 25, 2009, from 8 a.m. to until business for the day is completed.

Additional Information
Entry to the SWFSC requires visitors to register with the front office each morning. A visitor's badge, which must be worn while at the SWFSC, will be issued to all meeting participants. Since parking is at a premium at the SWFSC, car pooling, and mass transit are encouraged.
