The Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Council) Groundfish Allocation Committee (GAC) will hold a working meeting, which is open to the public. The GAC meeting will be held Tuesday, May 13, from 1 p.m. until business for the day is completed. The GAC will reconvene Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. each day until their business is completed.
Following completion of the GAC meeting on Thursday, May 15, 2008, the Trawl Individual Quota Committee (TIQC) will convene and continue working until business for the day is completed. The TIQC will reconvene Friday, May 16, 2008 and adjourn that day when business is completed.
Purpose of the Meeting
The purpose of both meetings is to develop recommendations to the Council on a preferred trawl rationalization alternative to be sent out for public review after the June 2008 Council meeting.
