Ad Hoc Vessel Monitoring System Committee

to Meet October 11, 2002

The Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Council) Ad Hoc Vessel Monitoring System Committee will hold a meeting which is open to the public.

The Ad Hoc Committee will meet Friday, October 11, 2002 beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continuing until business for the day is completed.

The meeting will be held at the following location:

The primary purpose of the meeting is to develop a draft regulatory package to require vessel monitoring satellite systems (VMS) for vessels participating in West Coast groundfish fisheries.
