Council Meetings: May 2013 Council Coordination Committee

May 2013 Council Coordination Committee Meeting

The Council Coordination Committee (CCC) consists of the chairs, vice chairs, and executive directors of each of the eight Regional Councils, and is authorized under Section 302(l) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act in order to discuss issues of relevance to all Councils, including issues related to the implementation of the Act.  The CCC normally meets twice per year. Generally, an interim meeting is held early in the calendar year to discuss budgets and other pressing matters and is hosted by NMFS in Washington, D.C. The primary, annual CCC meeting is hosted, on a revolving basis, by one of the Councils, normally in later spring or early summer.

This year the Pacific Fishery Management Council is hosting the CCC in conjunction with the Managing Our Nations Fishery 3 conference in Washington D.C., which is also being hosted by the Pacific Council.  The CCC will meet May 6, 9, and 10, 2013 at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel.  The General Session of the CCC begins at 11 a.m. on May 6 and is open to the public.  There is an opportunity for public testimony the morning of May 6.  The CCC meeting will continue May 9 at 1:30, after the conclusion of the MONF 3 conference, which is at the same venue.  The final day of the CCC meeting begins at 9 a.m. on May 10.

Briefing materials for the CCC meeting are available electronically through the links below.  Additional material will be posted to this page as it is developed for the meeting.  Agenda item letters and numbers correspond with the planned schedule; however, the order of the agenda items may change as required to effectively address the issues.
