November Council Meeting to be Streamed Live on Internet

The November 2-7, 2011 meeting of the Pacific Fishery Management Council will be streamed live on the internet. The live audio will be broadcast starting with the “Open Session” scheduled to start Wednesday, November 2 at 9:30 a.m. Pacific time. Get the November meeting agenda.

U.S. Coast Guard’s Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee to Meet

The U.S. Coast Guard’s Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee (CFSAC) will meet in Seattle, Washington to discuss various issues relating to safety in the commercial fishing industry. This meeting will be open to the public.

The CFSAC will meet on November 14, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on November 15–16, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This meeting may close early if all business is finished.

First Bilateral Pacific Whiting Advisory Panel Meeting Set for October 7, 2011

The first bilateral meeting of the Pacific Whiting Advisory Panel to begin implementation of the Whiting Treaty will be held in Seattle on Friday, October 7, 2011. As an interim measure, Canada will send a working group of industry representatives for this first meeting.

Proposed Rule to Implement Decisions of the IATTC in the Eastern Pacific

Council, States Seek Public Input on Proposed Changes to Pacific Halibut Catch Sharing Plan
