The Ecosystem Advisory Subpanel will be meeting on May 4 at the Council office in Portland. The agenda is now available here. They will be reviewing a draft report (available here), prepared by the Ecosystem Plan Development Team, on developing an ecosystem fishery management plan. The draft discusses the purpose and need for the plan, initial goals and objectives, options for the plan’s geographic range and regulatory scope, and which species should be managed under the plan. Members of the Plan Development Team will be there to review the report and respond to questions. The final report will be presented to the Council at its June 2010 meeting in Foster City, California. Please note that this is not a public hearing, but a work session for the Ecosystem Advisory Subpanel.
